The University of Maryland believes in excellence and strives to provide the best environment possible for guiding our Golden Key members to achieve in academics, leadership and service. The University of Maryland, Golden Key Chapter was chartered May 7, 1985 as part of U.S. Region 1, which includes institutions in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. In addition to all of the valuable membership benefits, discounts and opportunities both at the local chapter level and Society level, University of Maryland gives special recognition to each Golden Key member within the commencement program at graduation. Students also have the option of being recognized during graduation by wearing their honor cords for purchase.
