Welcome to Hong Kong Metropolitan University. Effective from 1 September 2021, The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) has been renamed as Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU). Founded in 1989, the university has come a long way to becoming a modern comprehensive university today with over 10,000 full-time undergraduates, 1,900 postgraduates and 8,700 part-time students. The University tailors its professional programmes to market trends and industry needs, thus providing its students with clear career paths.
