The University of Akron believes in excellence and strives to provide the best environment possible for guiding our Golden Key members to achieve in academics, leadership and service. The University of Akron Golden Key chapter, was chartered on May 4, 1988 as part of U.S. Region 4, which includes institutions in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and West Virginia. In addition to all of the valuable membership benefits, discounts and opportunities both at the local chapter level and Society level, Golden Key members at the University of Akron have the option of being recognized during graduation by wearing their honor cords for purchase.
