Norfolk State University is the “institution of choice” and believes that every student here will strive for excellence. At our university, our Golden Key members are students that make up a “talented student body, public support, and tradition of service.” Norfolk State University was chartered on April 25, 1994 as part of U.S. Region 2, which includes institutions in Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, as well as Virginia. In addition to all of the valuable membership benefits, discounts and opportunities at both the local chapter level and the Society level, Norfolk State University gives special recognition to each Golden Key member within the commencement program at graduation.
