The University of Hawai’i at Manoa Golden Key chapter was featured in the university’s official student newspaper, the Ka Leo (The Voice), on Wednesday, 10 March. The chapter was highlighted for its ongoing support of the Blood Bank of Hawai’i. For close to a decade the chapter has participated in numerous on-campus blood drives and has encouraged members to donate blood by providing willing students with active membership points in exchange for their gift of life. This year, the chapter is collaborating with the Department of Public Health on campus to sponsor a blood drive on 16 April. Golden Key members will be helping with this drive by recruiting blood donors, donating refreshments, staffing the post-donation/canteen area and donating blood themselves.
