Here’s what just a few of the winners are saying…
“I am extremely grateful to have been selected as a recipient of the 2012 Golden Key Research Grant. I would like to thank Golden Key for this honor and for the great opportunities that it offers to many students like me. This award allowed me to present my research on the evolution of conventions at the 2012 Fall Symposium on “Social Networks and Social Contagion”, which was organized by the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI). More broadly my research interest is in computational social modeling, which is a new field of collaboration between social scientists and computer scientists.” – Giorgio Gosti
“I would like to thank the Golden Key International Honour Society for recognising my academic achievement with the Golden Key Research Grant, and particularly for supporting undergraduate research. Winning this award gives me the opportunity to pursue an honours thesis in engineering to a level which I would not otherwise have had the resources to accomplish. This is an extremely exciting prospect at the present, and will allow me to produce a platform of work and acquire equipment with which to further my studies in the future. I hope this award is the beginning of many opportunities to extend my studies and broaden my network of peers made available to me through membership of the Golden Key International Honour Society.” -Matthew Shadwell
“I am very grateful to Golden Key for awarding me this research grant, the funds will go a long way in supplementing my travel expenses to any international conference where I will be able to share, learn and interact with other researchers in the field of nanotechnology. Winning this award means a lot as it motivates and inspires me to work even harder in my research knowing that there are people out there who appreciate and support our efforts and dreams. My current research project is probing the response of carbon based nano-materials to high frequency signals in the GHz range.” – George Chimowa
