Oakland University Peanut Butter & Jelly Day
On April 7, 2011 Oakland University’s Chapter of Golden Key hosted its 10th annual Peanut Butter and Jelly Day. This year we partnered with Greek Council and Human Resource Honor Society to make PB and J sandwiches and lunches for children in the greater Detroit area. After numerous donations from students, faculty, staff, and local business, we were able to make 1,738 sandwiches in less then one hour. All the sandwiches and snack items collected were donated to Forgotten Harvest for hungry children.
