GK Scholarships: Tiarnee Iddles
Golden Key is happy to introduce Tiarnee Iddles, one of Golden Key’s 2021 Undergrad Achievement Award winners. Tiarnee is a third-year Dental Student at Griffith University in Gold Coast, Australia.
“I am humbled to receive this award and will strive to continue to exemplify the Golden Key’s values throughout the rest of my degree and beyond,” Tiarnee says. “It has not been an easy road to get to where I am now, and I am grateful for the recognition as I feel this is a testament to their ongoing support.”
Tiarnee feels that her parents’ support has helped her get to where she is.
“Coming from a small farming town, I am thankful for my parents’ support and commitment to me in order for me to study dentistry,” Tiarnee mentions. “Their values that they instilled in me reflect those of the Golden Key’s – leadership, academics and service.”
Tiarnee is a passionate worker dedicated to her studies.
“I have worked hard in my studies which has been acknowledged by receiving a Griffith University Award for Academic Excellence at the end of 2019 and 2020,” Tiarnee shares.
Tiarnee’s hard work is paying off as she has accepted a job, which will begin upon her graduation.
“I was recently successful in obtaining an undergraduate dental officer position with the Australian Army and will commence my duties upon graduation,” Tiarnee reveals. “I have always had a passion for healthcare and hope to be able to boost the oral health of those working to protect my country. Being in this role will allow me to harness Golden Key’s values, and I will strive to continue to improve the quality of life of my patients.”
Tiarnee is very thankful for her experiences with Golden Key.
“Being a Golden Key member has allowed me to access various webinars and educational resources, which has further added to my own personal growth,” Tiarnee says. “It is evident that being part of the Golden Key family has exposed me to many opportunities, and I am immensely thankful for this award.”
Thank you for being a part of the Golden Key family, Tiarnee; we wish you the best of luck as a Dental Officer!
