NDSU Chapter Celebrates 15th Anniversary

NDSU Chapter Celebrates 15th Anniversary

On April 12, 2011, the NDSU chapter of Golden Key held an open house to mark its 15th anniversary year.  The chapter was established on November 21, 1995, and officially chartered on April 16, 1996.  The chapter has gone “Above and Beyond” the expectations that the chartering officers had during their first meeting.
Photo albums, chapter awards, posters, and trifold displays were used to illustrate the chapter’s projects, receptions, and keynote speakers.  A PowerPoint presentation, including “Where Are They Now?” sections about some chapter alumni and chartering officers, was shown.  The PowerPoint also recognized the other Dakota chapters celebrating their 15th anniversary: the University of North Dakota, the University of South Dakota, and South Dakota State University.  Event guests included the university’s president and several vice presidents along with chapter members and alumni.
Chapter alumni who no longer live in the area sent congratulatory notes.  Dana Aberle, the chapter’s chartering president, said, “I’m extremely proud of everything the NDSU Chapter has accomplished and look forward to hearing more success stories in the future.”

Weber State Cleans Up

Weber State Cleans Up

On March 26, 2011 the Weber State Chapter of Golden Key International Honour society held their biannual highway cleanup on a stretch of highway along I-84 just outside Ogden Utah.  Our chapter takes pride in the piece of land that we clean twice a year, and our name is proudly displayed on the ‘adopt a high way sign.’  Although the crew was small, they worked hard for 2 long hours, putting the garbage into orange garbage bags, while walking along the interstate.  Our newly elected president joined our previous president and our previous webmaster as they provided service, not only to the community but to everyone who passes along I-84.  After all the hard work, it was evident that the highway looked cleaner and provided nice scenery along the interstate.  As a chapter, we are proud to serve our community, and to provide a nice place to live.
