Annie McDougall, Monash University, Golden Key Biomedical Science Award Winner
I would like to thank the Golden Key International Honour Society for their recognition of me as the Biomedical Science Award recipient for 2010. It’s wonderful to see the kind of science research I’m working on being recognised by such as highly prestigious and competitive award. This award will contribute to my studies into the molecular pathways underlying fetal lung growth, with the aim of developing better treatments and preventions for lung hyperplasia in pre-term infants. Financially, it will allow me to visit some internationally leading laboratories, increasing both my network and my skills in molecular physiology. I would also like to thank my family and especially my partner Quang Nguyen, for his continuing support of both my work and the lifestyle that comes with research.
