I am honoured to be the recipient of the Golden Key Asia –Pacific Remote Community Literacy/ Numeracy Service Award. The Scholarship will enable me to continue as a volunteer coordinator of the Smith Family’s Learning Club in rural New South Wales. The Learning Club assists disadvantaged students to do their homework in a safe and supportive environment, and promote literacy and numeracy skills. I will also be able to add to my teaching resources and continue along the path of trying to make a difference in the lives of children, now, and into the future.
